Positive: The apartment was clean and comfortable, with everything appearing new. The location is excellent - close to the underground and plenty of restaurants. The service exceeded my expectations; they responded quickly to emails and even called a day before my arrival to check if I had any questions. Negative: The shower was small, but there was also a large bathtub that we didn’t use

Hidden fees for city tax Positive: The flat was equipped with everything you need for a short stay. There were some small touches that made you feel welcome. Negative: The stay was ruined by hidden fees. When booking on booking.com I pre-paid the stay. After the cancellation period had passed, the property sent their online check in portal details and during this process they requested additional 30eur for the city tax for 2 nights. This was never mentioned prior to the online check in, and of course it was too late to cancel. I’ve stayed in many hotels and airbnbs in Berlin and this was the first time the city tax was requested outside of the booking price. It’s very disappointing that the property is not transparent with their fees, it ruined the whole experience.
